Calendar Reservations for Special Events
Check the availability in the calendar above and find an open date that works for you. Some events listed on this calendar above take place at The Bridge or somewhere else and NOT at the church building (click on the name of the event in the calendar above to see if more information is provided).
All special events require a host to oversee the event (see below). Please abide by the notes below and our Use of Church Property Guidelines. You will be notified if you need to turn in a signed copy of that form, which is required for events that cover multiple dates or for events being reserved by someone not directly connected to our church, Manantial de Vida or the Scouts.
Email Pastor Marcus and Head Trustee John Nicoline (who serve as our Church Property Coordinators) once you are ready to make a reservation (or let them know if you are having trouble finding an available date). Please do not text your request, as all communication regarding reservations will be kept track of via email.
Include in your first email all of the following information: what the event is for, who the host will be, the day, date & times requested including time needed for set-up & clean-up (estimate the times if that is still being determined), and list what you are asking to use & reserve (the whole church building, the upper or lower levels, the church yard, fire pit, picnic tables, The Bridge, etc.). Including all of this info in your first email saves us time and expedites the reservation process.
Instructions for the Host: For all special events, someone who has a church key, needs to serve as the host for the event (other than Pastor Marcus or John Nicoline unless they have agreed to do so). The host is responsible for opening & closing the building, assisting with any set-up or preparation needed, and making sure everything is clean when the event is over (see next paragraph). If you do not have a church key, ask someone who does to serve as the host, or include in your email request that you need assistance finding a host.
Clean-up: Once your event is over, please vacuum & clean as needed, empty any full trash cans (see note below), and put everything back in it's place. Follow these Church Basement Set-up instructions (copies are also hanging on the refrigerator door in the kitchen and on the wall opposite the copy room door).
Trash & Recycling: The trash tote (black lid) & recycling tote (yellow lid) are located behind the church building. Please make sure you do NOT throw any trash in the recycling tote. Throw used paper plates, cups, pizza boxes and other soiled paper/cardboard items in the garbage (NOT in recycling). See What to Recycle for more info. If your event is for private use, and you have a lot of garbage, please take some of the trash bags with you, and leave room for at least one more large garbage bag to be thrown in the trash tote. Do not leave trash bags on the ground and make sure the lid for the trash tote is closed tightly (use the brick by the toes to weigh the lid down if needed). Thank you.
Reservation Confirmation: Once your reservation has been approved, it will be listed as a special event on the calendar above and you will receive an email confirming your request. Thank you and we hope you enjoy using the church building or church yard for your special event. Blessings.
